Fire Ratings – Fire Ratings are listed as three numbers presented as –\/–\/–<\/span><\/p>\n

The first number is ‘Structural Adequacy’ – this primarily relates to the structure the shutter is mounted to<\/span><\/p>\n

The second number is ‘Fire Integrity’ – how long the door will last for before failing (Sprint’s shutters are certified for either 120, or 240 minutes)<\/span><\/p>\n

The third, and final number is ‘Insulation’ value – Sprint’s shutters do not offer an insulation value.  If Insulation value is required – we recommend you consult with the project fire engineer to investigate drenching (ie: spraying the door with water) to achieve the desired insulation value).<\/span><\/p>\n

Operation – Fire shutters can be operated by either a Grifco Fire Shutter manual hoist (which incorporates Grifco’s special fire release system incorporating a fusible link and a magnet release for fire system connection (if desired); or a Fire Shutter motor are specially designed to release the door to ‘auto close’ in a fire event.\u00a0 Fire Shutter motors are available in 240V and 3PH – and are supplied with either a fusible link (which melts when it reaches 71 degrees celsius – lowing the door), or a fusible link plus magnet release which allows the motor to be connected to the fire indicator panel (FIP) and be triggered by the fire system.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Once triggered, the door will descent at a pre-determined speed (inline with the Australian standards) to the fully closed position.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Finishes – Fire Shutters can be supplied in Galv (silver), or have a ‘powder coat’ colour finish applied.\u00a0 Sprint works with the Dulux ‘Duralloy’ range of colours as standard – however Dulux’ other ranges (Zincshield, Duratec, Flurotec, etc) are available upon request (additional cost applies).<\/span><\/p>

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

At Sprintplease be aware that Sprint’s standard finish coats both side of each slat to give colour finish inside and out.\u00a0 This is a superior finish to one side (both sides have an extra layer of protection), plus the cost saving of coating one side vs both sides doesn’t stack up.\u00a0 So we can coat one (1) side if required – but it is not any cheaper.<\/span><\/p>
